MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Terminix announced Alex Ho has been named chief marketing officer for its residential business. In this role, Ho will oversee all aspects of the marketing function, including digital, brand, product management, pricing and eCommerce platforms.
“Alex’s experience building high-performing marketing organizations at multiple Fortune 1000 companies uniquely positions him to guide the Terminix brand and our evolving marketing strategy,” said Kim Scott, president of Terminix Residential, a ServiceMaster company. “Alex has a proven passion for driving growth through the delivery of exceptional customer experiences and will be an outstanding addition to our leadership team.”
Ho, who was named to the Forbes CMO Next list in 2018, joins Terminix after eight years with American Greetings, where he most recently served as chief marketing officer. There, he reinvigorated the brand, its portfolio strategy and its digital and eCommerce channels. He was also responsible for the company’s “World’s Toughest Job” campaign, which drove record online sales and consumer engagement and won the 2015 Grand Effie for marketing effectiveness.
Prior to American Greetings, Ho served on the leadership team that created direct-to-consumer online auto insurance at Progressive Insurance, where he also built Progressive’s digital marketing capability and led brand development. He began his marketing career in brand management at Procter & Gamble and SC Johnson, where he was responsible for driving growth through many brands, including Windex, Cascade, and Raid.
Ho actively supports the marketing community, most recently as part of Adweek’s Executive Mentor Program. Ho is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. He received his MBA in marketing from the University of Michigan.
