VALLEY VIEW, Ohio – PCT announced NJ Wildlife and Pest Control, Mt. Freedom, N.J., as the winner of our second annual Vehicle Wrap Contest. NJ Pest Owner Russell Sieb wins $500 from PCT. The competition was sponsored by Oldham Chemicals.
Sieb worked with Signarama, Ledgewood, N.J., on the winning wrap (on a Nissan NV200 van in this photo), which features a large wolf spider across the door and a smaller bat just above the back tire. Also, the company’s URL and phone number, as well as some NJ Pest’s pest icons and affiliation’s (e.g., NPMA QualityPro logo), are clearly visible.
Sieb said the concept was simple. “We rebranded the company as NJ Wildlife and Pest Control (previously it was NJ Pest Control) so to promote our wildlife services on the vans we included one pest and one wildlife animal.”
PCT’s judges “loved the HUGE spider” and the “use of icons in this vehicle wrap to communicated a variety of messaging.”
“We wanted the customer or potential customer to know who we are, and what we do when they saw a vehicle,” said Sieb, who added that his company now has four pest control trucks all branded with different insects and wildlife pests, as well as two wildlife trucks that display only wildlife pests on them.
Sieb, a disable Gulf War veteran, founded NJ Pest 19 years ago, and the company has grown to service all of northern New Jersey. In 2018, the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, Center for Verification and Evaluation verified NJ Pest as a Service-Disable Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).
PCT received more than 60 entries in this year’s contest. PCT will be running a slideshow featuring Sieb’s winning wrap as well as the 10 finalist entries.
